We acknowledge the Djaara (the Dja Dja Wurrung people)
who have lived here on their traditional lands and cared for Djandak (Country)
over many thousands of years
We respect their culture and their story
In joyful news the Djaara have established
Larnangurrak
(their place, a
community centre) in Bendigo, opened November 2024
This is part of ongoing work by the Djaara Corporation including the signing of a Recognition and Settlement Agreement with the Victorian Government in 2013
With respect for Djaara elders past, present, and emerging
